Conflict of interest policy

We act for one party to a transaction, never both.

  1. 1We act for one party to a transaction only. If we prepare an enterprise to raise capital, we do not review that enterprise for any investor in the same round. If we review an enterprise for an investor, we do not prepare it for the same round.
  2. 2If both parties approach us, we retain the first client and decline the second, explaining why without disclosing the first client's information.
  3. 3A fund may engage us to prepare its own portfolio companies. We then act for the fund, and we inform the company in writing.
  4. 4Each specialist declares any financial or personal interest in an enterprise before working on it, and steps aside if one exists.
  5. 5This policy applies for 12 months after an engagement ends.
  6. 6We disclose in writing, before any engagement, the other companies and roles of our Chairman and our Founder that could affect our independence: Dr Islam leads Be Data Solutions and Subatomic Analytics, and Rashed Mamun leads Verde Nexus and BYEAH and co-leads Extryve. Confidentiality

Client documents are held securely and are accessible only to the engagement team. At the end of an engagement we return or delete them on request.
